what we've been up to

Year in Review: 2018

Hello, Friends!  Happy 2019!  I'm SO excited to see what this year will hold for myself and my family but I have also loved putting together this post and looking back at all the awesome memories we've made.  This has not been my favorite year, but one thing is for sure, I am so blessed and I love this little family of mine!  Here is a look back on our year!

january

We started the year off with lots of snow days and you would never find this teacher complaining.  In case you didn't already know, January is my LEAST FAVORITE MONTH EVER!  I'm still mourning Christmas being over and it is just so cold and dark and Spring Break if forever away.  I would totally skip this month if it was an option.

Teagen got what seemed like her 500th ear infection in a few months and the doctor scheduled her for tubes.

We also started counting down until Valentine's Day!  If there is one thing I've passed onto my girls, it's the love for all holidays!

february

Kenna went to see a play with her Pepaw and Gigi!  She looks so tiny here and it is crazy to me how much my babies change in such a short amount of time.

Teagen got her first set of tubes put in and she handled it like a champ.

Tommy took T to her first Father-Daughter Dance!  Kenna was supposed to go but she got the dreaded flu that had her bed ridden for days.

We celebrated Valentine's Day with lots of candy and the Pizza Hut Buffet!

The girls started swim lessons and Teagen eventually learned to love it!

The Olympics were on and that is seriously one of my favorite things ever!

march

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!  We look for any opportunity to wear cute jammies and celebrate.

Kenna Ann visited her future preschool and I probably cried for the rest of the week in denial.

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day by turning everything green and trying to trap a leprechaun!

We visited Great Wolf Lodge for the second year in a row and it is easily our favorite long weekend spot!

My sweet Baby T started having seizure like symptoms and went in to get an EEG done.  Still so dang thankful everything came back clear and she hasn't had any more episodes.

We colored Easter Eggs!

april

Started the month off by celebrating Easter!

Baby T got tubes put in her ears...again.

I turned 29!

The girls and I put our zoo membership to use for opening weekend!

may

We watched one of our favorite girls head off to Prom!

Spent Mother's Day with my two girls (and that little babe in my belly)!

We ate popsicles on our finished back patio!

And spent Memorial Day at the lake!

We said goodbye to May by finishing out my 6th year of teaching kindergarten and welcoming summer!

june

We traveled to Evansville to watch one of Tommy's best friends get married!

We finally got a library card after living in our town for 2 years!

My baby turned two!

We picked our weight in strawberries!

We mourned the loss of our little baby and celebrated Father's Day all in one weekend.  Even when my heart is breaking, there is nothing I love more than celebrating this guy who truly makes our world go round and is my rock in both the good and bad times.

We headed off to Florida for a much needed 10 day vacation!

We even got to visit Mickey Mouse!

july

We spent pretty much every single free day at the lake!

The girls have become expert fruit pickers!

We hit up Tommy's hometown fair.

I quit my teaching job 45 minutes away and found one closer to home.  One of the hardest decisions I've ever made, but I love being 2 minutes away from my babies every single day.

We went to the lake...again.

august

My bigs turned four!

Summer ended and we all headed back to work...and reality.

Kenna got her very first haircut!

Zoo Brew with some of my favorites!

september

The Fam hit up Cedar Point.

Teagen busted her chin open and landed us a visit to the ER...does anyone else see a theme with this child?

My baby started preschool (insert sobbing face here)!

Teagen had her very first day of soccer!

We busted out the Halloween pajamas because it is never too early!

I sweated my way through an Irish victory!

Ate all the food at the Johnny Appleseed Festival!

We ended the year by winning fish and apple picking!  Our September was crammed full of fun and I wish I could rewind time and relive these last couple of months over and over again!

october

It was a great day to be an Eagle and we cheered loudly as our favorite girls and Pa made it to the sectional final!

Thomas Rhett Concert with my handsome hubby!

We got to celebrate my sweet new sista and it was probably the funniest night of my life!

Our family grew by four paws and it was the best decision we made all year!  We are simply obsessed with our sweet Skye Baldwin!

Tommy turned 31!

My baby brother got married and it was the most beautiful day!

The wonderful Della Terra Photo did it again with our family pictures!

I got to dance the night away with my babies at a Disney Junior Dance Party show!

We picked pumpkins and carved them!

Happy Halloween!

Rang in the New Year with my sweet family!

It has been a year but at the end of it, I'm beyond thankful for my happy and healthy family!  We can't wait to see what 2019 will bring!  Happy New Year, Friends!
