Mac & Mia Review

If you read my 5 Friday Faves last week, you will remember seeing this picture with the promise that I would be talking all about it soon!  That day is today!  I was approached earlier this month to try out Mac & Mia, which is a clothing subscription box service for kids sizes newborn - 10 years old!

I, of course, was all in because everyone knows my love of new clothes for my kids.  Since Kenna is getting ready to start preschool, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to kickstart a new back-to-school wardrobe and I was not disappointed.

The basic concept is that you pay a flat $20 styling fee when you request a box, which is waived if you keep two or more items from your box.  You will then communicate with your stylist (Anne M) on what exactly you are looking for.  I was also able to take a quiz that narrowed down Kenna's style and what I was hoping to get in the box.  Anne then created a box with 8-12 boutique brand pieces that fit with what I requested for Kenna.  Once you receive the box, you keep the items you love (which will be basically all of them) and send back the ones you don't want.  Did I also mention that shipping is free both ways?

Here is Kenna's box!  SO cute, right?

I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when that box came on the doorstep. After opening the box and seeing what Anne had included, I could have honestly kept it all.  The clothes were perfect for preschool and I loved that she included items that could be mixed and matched to make multiple different outfits.  Another great thing was that I told Anne my budget for the box, and she worked around that, while still including stylish pieces for Kenna.  The average apparel item costs around $35 and accessories are around $12, but I felt like most items in my box were below that price point.

Kenna was all for keeping every single thing in the box (she is definitely my daughter) but I had her do a fashion show for her Daddy and he helped pick out his favorites.

Anne also threw in surprise matching hats (see below) for both the girls and I love that she took the time to think about Teagen also.  I have a feeling these hats are going to be making appearances in LOTS of pictures.

In the end we decided to keep the striped pink top, chambray skirt, flowered pants, baseball caps, and the necklace and headband.  While I also loved the striped dress (and a navy jumper that isn't pictured), both were just too big on Kenna.

I am obsessed with this service and think you will be too!  If you want to try you own Mac & Mia box, you can use this code here to get $20 off your first order!

I'm already looking forward to requesting another box closer to the holidays!

Happy shopping, Friends!
